A day at SM North Edsa: Shoes Galore!

Last Tuesday, we went to SM North Edsa. Wala lang, magwiwindow shopping lang... Haha! Haha!

Hmmmm... Binigyan daw sya ni Kuya. Naks! Nagbibigay ha... May bonus na siguro yun...Haha! Ayun lang, while we're waiting for the shoes to arrive, eto ang eksena ng Bea Bulilit:
playing with the shoe size mat
Akala nya siguro nasa bahay sya. I tried to move her away kasi ang dumi-dumi nun noh. Bumalik ulit dun. Hinayaan ko na lang, as long as hindi nya isusubo kamay nya.
Dumapa pa! >:O
Waaahhhhh!!!

Anyways, here's what we bought for her.
Dora shoes P599.75
Pitcheco socks P89.75
BioFresh socks P79.75
Eh syempre hindi ako papatalo. I sweet-talked Mama into buying me some shoes. Haha! ;)
Soulmate flats in Pastel Blue
Soulmate flats in Pastel Blue
Oo nah! Pareho lang design nyan. Haha! Yan lang kasi maganda fit sakin eh. Tsaka mura lang yan, 2 for P399.75! O diba? Thank you Mama! :)

Of course, a day in SM isn't complete without having something to eat kaya we went to Max's. We ordered Fiesta Plate which composed of Lumpiang Sariwa, Chicken, Rice and a caramel bar. Tsaka syempre ang walang kamatayang Bottomless Iced Tea. Hehehe. While waiting for our order, bumaba muna ako sa Mcdo to buy Bea French Fries.

We finished our food while she was busy doodling on a paper. Lesson learned: When dining out, always bring a pencil, pen, crayons and a paper to  keep your little tots busy.

After we ate, nag-ikot lang kami sandali sa basement. Bea was so attracted on a certain display. Yung Lemax Christmas Village. May pinagmamanahan 'to... Ang ganda naman kasi. Ang daming gumagalaw tsaka umiilaw. Ang cute!
Mama was trying to take a picture of us pero ang Baby ay masyadong busy sa kapapanuod sa display. Ayaw mag-cooperate. Busy sya, bawal istorbuhin. Haha!
In fairness, ang payat ko dito. Char!!! :P
Whenever Mama see the Lemax Village, her eyes automatically lights up. Gusto kasi nya yan kaso lang we can't afford it now. We have other priorities eh. Di bale pag nanalo tayo sa Lotto, bibilin natin lahat yan!!! :D
Someday, I'll buy these for you Mama... Just wait.... :)

Anyways, this is what Bea wore during our trip.
Elmo top and legging, Snoppy multi-colored maryjanes
Yun lang po. Have a nice day!

My Little Dancing Queen

Look at what my Bea Bulilit can do now:
Oh yes, she can already do the actions on some of the Barney Songs. Medyo distinct na yung action nya sa "The Wheels On The Bus" kaya lokong-loko naman ako. Hahaha!!! I love the way she does the "shhh, shhh, shhh" sign and the way she pops up and down during the lyrics "the people on the bus go up and down..."

Dear Baby,

You never cease to put a smile on Mommy's lips. You bring so much joy to us. Haha! I love you Baby!

The Climb

When we wake up in the morning, I usually give Bea a toy or a book so she can "entertain" herself, while I go to the kitchen and wash her bottles.
Bea "reading" a book.
When I come back, I would see a well-behaved little girl waiting for her Mommy to make her milk.
Thanks for the milk Mommy! :)
Everyday was like that. I wasn't worried that something bad would happen to her because I thought baby-proofed our room. I sealed the electric sockets and put away all the things she can climb or swallow.

Well, that was before... I was shocked when I saw this last week:
How did you get up there?!?
I immediately grabbed her because I was afraid she would fall. Eh cemento pa naman yung babagsakan nya, baka mabagok. Diyos ko! I said "No! You can't climb up there!" I thought she learned her lesson but then I saw her climb the box again. You see she was reaching for her toys which was on that shelf. When I clean her bottles in the morning, I would take her with me.

And now, when she want a toy from that shelf, she would just point and say "ooohhhh" (I think that's her way of saying "ayun oh"). At least she's starting to communicate with me now. :)

PAIN

A few weeks ago, we were all lounging in Utot's and Kuya's room. Papa was watching the news, then a report about a motorcycle accident in Commonwealth came up.

I was about to comment, pero naunahan ako ni Papa.

Papa: PAIN?? PAIN?!? Anong klaseng pain ha?!? Linawin mo yung report mo!!! Anong pain ba yan??? BALLPAIN?!? PENTELPAIN?!?

Grabe, gusto kong tumambling! Tawanan kaming lahat.

Haha! Ai nako Pa, patawa ka eh noh? :P

How To Feed A Picky Eater

As you all know, Bea is a picky eater. So here I am again, trying a few tricks on how to feed her.

1. Be a good role model.

I want to raise her a healthy eater so eto ako ngayon, napipilitan kumain ng gulay. I hate vegetables kasi but, I have to be a good role model for her.
Broccoli in Oyster sauce
That's my plate. I use a divider plate because I don't like my rice to be mixed with something. Hehe. And then there should always be chili garlic sauce. I don't mind eating vegetables as long as it's spicy. Ganyan din pagkain ni Bea minus the chili of course.

2. "Endorse" the food

Yes, be like a celebrity endorser. Act like in commercials. Saying "hmmmm" and "yum yum" as you eat kahit hindi naman masarap. Haha! ;)

3. Do the "Here comes the plane!"

I remember my Lola and Mama doing this when we were kids. They would move the spoon like an aiplane landing to into mouths. May sounds pa yan na "Zoooommmm" or "Brrooommmm" as we open our mouths. Make mealtime fun.

4. Make her try the food.

Sometimes, kids would immediately turn up their nose with food they are not familiar with. But, make them try it first before they can say "no."

I had to wrestle Bea first kasi ayaw nya talagang isubo yung brocolli! Nakaka-frustrate. After that, kumain ulit sya ng isa pa. Gusto naman pala.

Yun lang after ilang piece, she spitted it out. Nagbago isip. Grrr...

5. Say "Ahhhh"

Make her say "aahhh" so she would open her mouth. Tapos sabay subo.

Deadma to the World!
 6. If all else fails, try again next time.

This could be the hardest part of all but it's really important that you respect your child when she says she isn't hungry. It will do no good for you or your child to force food. Learn to let go. There's always next time pa naman. Magugutom at magugutom din yan.

Luz Valdez ang mga strategy ko. It's frustrating. But what can I do. I can't tie her up in a chair naman just to make her eat. Inaabot pilit! Ayun, I sliced fresh fruits na lang to mix with it para naman magkalaman yung tiyan nya.
Yogurt = Yum Yum Yum :)
Maarte talaga 'tong batang ito. Namimili ng pagkain. Nakakaloka talaga. Haha!

Zoren & Carmina's Wedding (plus my little secret)

Have you watched this? Grabe noh? Zoren and Carmina's wedding is the wedding of the century. Thumbs up for Zoren for pulling off this kind of wedding. Sobrang daming bonngang pogi points for you! You've set the standards for proposals and marriages so damn high. Men are going to have a hard time. And for Carmina, my oh my, you're such a lucky girl. To be wed in a fairytale-like wedding is like every girl's dream. I bet every girl in this planet envy you right now. Sana nga they have another set of twins ulit para lalong sumaya family nila. Anyways, I bet we have all been kilig with that.

But for me, I was even more kilig when I saw this:
OMG! It's Eric Quizon!!! XD
Grabe nakalimutan ko lahat ng eksena nila Zoren at Carmina when I saw him. Mas kinilig ako dito eh. Kulang na lang magtitili ako sa kilig. Haha! For those who know are really close to me, they know well na CRUSH NA CRUSH KO SI ERIC QUIZON! :D

I remember writing about him in my multiply site.

Sep 25, '08 12:37 AM
10. Ultimate crush: Eric Quizon!

-Haha! Siya talaga since birth... From "Buddy n Sol" time pah. Hahaha! Eksena Genoveva!

Sep 28, '08 1:11 AM
Here's a list of my crushes from birth (birth?!?) to present. Hehehe... Puro crush lang naman 'toh...
1. Eric Quizon
-Should I say more? Ulitimate crush ko nga siya diba??? Hehehe...

Kaya ganyan akong kaarte. Pagbigyan, pagbigyan. Hehe. ;)

Haayyy... So now you know. Iba talaga dating ni Eric sakin. Grabe! I taught hindi ko na sya crush because I don't get to see him on TV anymore (hindi na kasi ako masyadong nakakanuod nowadays), but no, when I saw him, my heart melted. Kinikilig padin ako sa kanya. Awwww... I think I will always be that little girl who has eyes for Eric Quizon only. =)

Eric Quizon :D
I've been good naman this year so Papa God, hindi naman siguro masama isa sa hilingin ko (Oo syempre, hindi lang 'to. Syempre lulubus-lubusin ko na din yung pagkakataon pag nangyari yun, magpapapicture na 'ko with him ng bonggang-bongga.  And if that happens, I would be the happiest girl in the world! *fingers crossed*

So Papa God, Santa, friends, alam nyo na ha? Alam nyo na. :)

Bea's Tito Payat

Tito who? TITO PAYAT!!! :)

Yes, he's my younger brother. His name is actually Joshua, but I lovingly call him Utot. Haha! And for Bea, he is her doting TITOW PAYAT. (He's the thinner one kasi... My other brother is Tito Taba.) Between my two brothers, si Utot yung mas malapit kay Bulilit. Being the youngest kasi, ngayon lang talaga sya naka-experience magka-baby sa bahay kaya yun tuwang-tuwa ang loko, nakahanap sya ng laruan nya. Hahaha!
Most of the time, when I need to cook, si Utot yung pinagbabantay ko kay Bulilit. When I leave them, they would be like this:
Chillin' and watching TV
or playing
But when I return, ganito na eksena nilang dalawa:
Diosmio!
Weeeeeee!!!
Yeeeeeyyyyy!!!
Superman!!! :D
Oh the rough play... Sometimes we have to remind him that Bea is a baby and not a toy. Hinaharot kasi niya eh. Minsan nga nagatukan ni Mama eh, baka daw mabalian yung Bulilit. Hek!

It is Utot too that I can depend on when it comes to feeding Bea. He's patient kasi when it comes to feeding her. Nag-uutuan pa silang mag-tito minsan. ;)
TP: Say "ahhh..." Oh you want Titow to eat yogurt too? ...Sige!
(Nakihati pa)
Baby, dede na. Male-late na ko...
*deadma*
Baby, please dumede ka na. You don't want Titow to get late, diba?

And now, mas lokong-loko na ang Tito Payat kay Bea because she's slowly turning into his mini-me already! Nakakaloka...

When Utot got home, he saw Bea playing with this:
TP: oh, you like tools too? You're just like me! :)
Utot loves tools since he was a kid. Tools were like his toys back then. Every Christmas or his birthday, he would ask for tools as a gift.

And then he's exposing Bea to different kinds of animals already. Utot is an animal-lover kasi. We sort of have a zoo before, when we were kids, because of his gazillion pets.
Ming, ming, ming
That's a rat. Hinuli lang nya kung saan.
And then one time, Utot's in our room tapos biglang nakalas yung elesi nung electric fan namin. Bea got startled, she ducked and crawled to her Tito Payat. Ayun tuwang-tuwa ang Utot.
TP: I knew it, you're gonna be a soldier like me! You already know how to duck and crawl.
(Utot is into military-stuff kasi like CAT,  and ROTC) When you get older, I'm going to volunteer at your school and then I'm going to tell your classmates na baby ka pa lang, alam mo na magduck and crawl!

Ngiting-ngiti ang loko. Haha! Hmmm...
TP: Diba Baby gusto mo maging soldier like Titow?
TP: I'm going to teach you how to assemble, disassemble and fire a gun para walang mangloloko sa'yo. And then, I going to buy you all the (military) stuff that you need..."
Me: That's not gonna happen, magiging Beauty Queen kaya yan...
TP: Pwede naman yun eh, Beauty Queen tapos military. Like yung sa Ms. Congeniality. Tapos yung talent nya is Self-defense. Ang galing nun!
Me: Get your own kid! Hahahaha!

See? Gusto nya daw! Bagay na bagay! :)
Dream on brother. Haha! Hanggang playtime lang ang military nyo.

Anyways, I'm thankful that Bea got a Tito like him who loves her very much. Ang sweet nya noh? :)

Bea's favorite thing to do during playtime

If Monica Geller had a kid, and inherits her mom's OCD, that kid would be like this at playtime:
Dinosaurs line up!
We've been noticing she's been like this these past few months. She likes lining up her toys. Puro ganyan lang sya maglaro. Haha! This started when she received her Lego Duplo from Nanay.
Pag square, square lang. Pag rectangle, rectangle lang. :D
Even during bathtime, ganyan sya.

Look Mommy, look! :D
Looks like she's enjoying doing this naman.

I don't think there's nothing wrong with it naman. I find it cute nga eh. Baka nga OC sya. Gusto nya pantay-pantay lahat.  :)

Our Trip to Monasterio de Tarlac

Last September 29, our church had a pilgrimage to Monasterio de Tarlac. Since Papa was here, we decided to join so that we can bond. The night before our trip, I prepared everything, from Bea's milk and bottles to her extra clothes, to avoid the morning rush. I also layed out the clothes we're going to wear the next day. Morning came, I woke up around 4:30, I was planning to take a bath first before waking up Bea Bulilit. I was ready to go in the bathroom when Bea woke up. Haha! Ayun, sianama ko na sa paligo. Good thing she loves water. Wala kaming drama sa umaga. After that, we headed to our church which is just a few steps away from our house, as in isang kembot, dalawang tumbling lang nandun ka na. Papa looked for our bus, nasa may bandang kanto pa pala yung bus namin. Papa was already giving a piece of his mind kasi naman wala pang araw, nandun na yung mga tao. Sikat na yung araw nung makaalis kami. Gusto kasi nyan plantsado lahat pag may lakad, walang abi-abirya. Di nalang namin pinapansin ni Mama. Haha!
Init ulo, aga-aga?!? Haha!!!
We took the NLEX and then SCTEX. Mabilis lang yung byahe. Nadaanan namin yung Hacienda Luisita. Ang daming puno! So nice...
Trees making a canopy over the road
After that, we reached Tarlac City and then we saw a sign saying, "MONASTERIO DE TARLAC, STRAIGHT AHEAD." People got excited! Malapit na kami. After a few minutes, we saw another sign, "MONASTERIO DE TARLAC, TURN RIGHT."
Are we there yet?
Are we there yet?!?
Oh God, people are getting bored already. Sang lupalop na ba kami ng Pilipinas? Haha!
Picture picture muna to ease the boredom
Good thing Bea Bulilit is well-behaved that time :)
After a few more minutes again, nasa bundok na kami, then we saw this:
Hooray! We're here!!! :D
This 30-foot statue of the Risen Lord welcomed us
The whole place is so serene. It is truly a sanctuary. The Monastery, situated in the 43-hectare property within the 278-hectare Tarlac Ecotourism Park, is the home of the only Relic of the True Cross of Jesus Christ in the whole of Asia.
Truly breath-taking
Isn't it nice?
While the other people find the place a very solemn place to reflect, I believe Bea just find the place a huge open space where she can run around. Yes, I know, she is too young to understand things like this.
Baby, picture muna!
Bea: No Mama! Let me go, I want to play!!!
Look at Bea's face, halatang irita at gusto ng kumawala. ;P
Doesn't she look cute in her outfit? Hiphop!!! :)
Hala sige gala...
As usual, Papa is always running after her. Let her be a kid! Eh ang Lolo nyo, praning, baka mauntog, baka madapa. Sige bahala kayong mag-lolo dyan. Haha!
Sige Papa, magbantay ka lang dyan. :)
After a little roaming-around, pilgrims lined up to venerate the Lord Jesus Christ and touch the ark, while praying for their personal intentions.

As described in the SRC Website:
The Relic is enclosed in a silver arquetta (ark) engraved with catholic symbols of crucifixion such as a pair of dice, the garment of Christ worn during his passion, a hammer with nails, and a ladder. The relic is enshrined beneath the altar. It was authenticated by a papal seal as proof that it is, indeed, the true cross of Jesus.
The Relic of the True Cross
Syempre pumila din kami ni Bulilit, I let her touch the relic. I believed that it will keep her safe. I also prayed that she'll grow up to be a good person. :')
A souvenir pic infront of the Basilica
We decided to eat first kasi naman di pa kami nagbrebreakfast magtatanghali na. Nagkakainan na yung mga bituka ko! Buti na lang maraming kainan dun.  We wanted to try the buffet kaya lang di pa bukas nung time na yun. So we just ate at the carienderia. Masarap naman, affordable pa. Grabe kain namin nun. Galit-galit. Walang usap-usap. Halatang nagutom kami sa byahe. Haha! Even Bea ate alot that time.
A very hungry Baby
We attended the mass that noon. The mass was very solemn. It surely revitalized us spiritually. Kahit na tirik na tirik yung araw, di namin pansin kasi it was so peaceful and naka-focus talaga kami sa misa. Ewan ko ba, Bea is super-mega-hyper that day. As in walang kapaguran, she was running around the whole time.
Takbo dito
Takbo doon
Bea: Habol mo ko, Papa! :D
Papa: Hay naku bata ka! Di ka pa ba napapagod?
After the mass, umalis na kami. May pupuntahan pa kasi.
We will surely come back there some other time
Ang amoy pawis na Bulilit
Papa: Pogi pa din ba kahit pagod? ;)
Bea having her favorite snack, Mang Juan! :P
We headed to Nayong Pilipino sa Clark. I was disappointed when we got there. It was a far cry from the Nayong Pilipino in Manila we used to visit when we were kids. I was expecting miniature versions of the Banaue Rice Terraces, Mount Mayon, Bohol’s Chocolate Hills etc. But I didn't see those there. Sayang lang yung place. Sana ma-improve pa nila. All we saw were replicas of some of the Philippines famous hero’s and political figures houses. Anyways, here are some of the photos we've taken.
Bea with Mama and Papa
Rice Terraces daw yan. Ifugao village.
Mama in Apolinario Mabini's house
Jose Rizal's house
The staff there presented a cultural show for the pilgrims. Enjoy naman. One of the dancers even asked our priest to join her dance Tinikling. He tried to beg off pero the church-goers cheered for him. Ayun, he danced naman kaya lang he looked so awkward with the girl. Nahihiya kasi. While they were performing, Bea also put a little show on the side. Nagsasasayaw din ang Bulilit! Hindi papatalo. Haha! She was enjoying the music so much she made a scene when we had to leave. Nagwawala ang bata. Nakakaloka. Phew!
Bea: No Papa, I don't want to leave!!! No!!! :'(
Eto eksena namin sa bus, ayan pawis na pawis at nagngangangalngal. It turns out that she's hungry already. Di makapaghintay nung nagtitimpla ako ng milk nya.
Dede, dede, dede *sniff, sniff* *sob, sob*
Dumaan pa kami sa Duty-Free after that. Kumain sa Chowking at umuwi na. Bea fell asleep on our way home. We got home around 8pm. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for our family.
